The second week of the festive period and we have some new names emerging and showing their intent for 2021.
Overall distances are a little down on previous weeks as celebrations, rest days and getting back to work has an impact, but still the same face at the top with Tanya on 495.9km despite injury and relocating to another country! Marc Mikulla making the most of some time from work with a very nice 137.1km single ride and some old chopper heading the climbing table with 2179m. Great to see Colin Timmons back on track with a 113.3km ride as he starts his 2021 build and close behind Dimitris Vergos showing on the board as he starts to get his biking legs back ahead of his tri season.
As we settle back into our regular patterns let's see who will establish themselves on the leader board in the coming weeks as we have a number of new athletes starting their build phase.
We had a big move on a key Strava segment this past week with the "Dutch Express" Nienke Gelderloos updating her Jebal Jais time with an impressive 1:11:52 for the 19km segment climbing up to 1382m. This time moves Nienke into 2nd place behind Connor in the MonoCoach Club and is the fasted time posted by any female in 2020, very well done!
